Paardeberg Unit Event Calendar
Ride%20photo%202013.jpg

The intent of this calendar it to advise members of events and rides available to them during the Riding Season. The Unit encourages members to take the initiative to lead rides using email and our facebook page to advise each other when they are heading out for a ride. This year there is an emphasis on riding together for fun and friendship.

REMEMBER to come back to this page often as the calendar will change frequently during the riding season as new items are added. Check out our new section: Motorcycle Routes and Maps for more riding options

NOTE when there is a "Unit" ride/event it will be identified by Unit - for these events it would be great to have maximum participation of members or info by INFO - just letting members know of these events and opportunities to ride. Email messages will be sent out to the unit reminding members of "Unit" functions: I.e., Memorial Ride

2019 CALENDAR

Check in often as sometimes event details change…

NOTE; This page is always under construction -

If you have an event or wish to lead a ride somewhere please contact our Road Captain

Nov 11 08:30am - 09:30am The Friends of Crysler's Farm Battlefield would like to cordially invite you to pay your respects on November 11 at the Crysler's Farm Battlefield Memorial, St. Lawrence Parks Commission, Upper Canada Village. The Battle of Crysler's Farm was waged in the Defense of Canada on November 11, 1813. This year marks the 75th Commemoration of the Liberation of the Netherlands. During that time 7,600 Canadian casualties were incurred. Included in those numbers were members of the S. D. & G. Highlanders. The S.D.& G. Highlanders were granted the Battle Honours for Crysler's Farm during the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 -14; this added to the 25 other Battle Honours earned since 1813.
The 1/2 hour program begins at 9:00 am with join up at the base of the mound at 8:30 am.
For those folks who may be physically challenged, a golf cart courtesy of UCV will be on hand to take you to and from the memorial. Washroom facilities are available at the entrance to UCV as well.
As well if you would care to lay a wreath, please feel free to do so. We do have a number of wreaths in our care from previous ceremonies, please contact David Conners to ascertain as to whether we have yours.

On behalf of President David Conners and the Friends of Crysler's Farm Battlefield, please join us in remembering "The Battle Which Saved Canada".
