7:00 pm Sherain, Sgt-at-Arms called the meeting to order with a request for one minute of Silence.

The silence was broken with the reciting of:

1. President’s Opening Remarks
Don, President welcomed everyone to the meeting.

2. President Report
Don did a recap of Past Events since last meeting:

April 2017

Apr. 9/17 Sun Vimy Remembrance Ceremony at the National War Memorial was attended by Kathy and Trevor
Apr. 22/17 Sat Breakfast @ Dunn's Famous Deli, was attended by 12 members.
April 27th Thur Motorcycle Ride for Dad Kickoff - Trev and Kathy attended
April 29th Sat Acquired Brain Injury Ride - Embrum - Don, Guy and Trev attended - 203 riders registered for this event.
April 29th Wilno Tavern - Dino and Skullteddy rode to meet up with some of the Legion Riders.

April 27th - Trev and Kathy took a fruit basket to Bgruff one of our honourary members who had a knee replacement in early February and due to complications has lost his license. Bgruff will be 86 in June. He is beginning to recover but it is a slow process and he is having to sell his motorcycle. So if you know of anyone looking for an excellent bike - 2013 Yamaha Bolt - 950 cc in excellent condition please let Kathy or Trevor know

Moved by Smiley, Seconded by Mapper that we move the Memorial Ride from Monday to Sunday to accommodate Hammer and Newf's attendance:

June 17th Sat UNIT - 09:00 hrs Darren Williams & Wayne Boone Memorial Ride Registration at Hillier Estates Winery @ 9:00 with the Memorial service commencing at 11:00 am, followed by a ride through the beautiful county of Prince Edward. Donations will be graciously accepted on behalf of the TONY STACEY CENTRE & MILITARY POLICE FUND FOR BLIND CHILDREN.

4. Sergeant-at-Arms Remarks
Sherain reported:

  • Currently 30 members, with two people expressing interest; forms have not been sent in to date.
  • Bank account: $167.20 dues + $101 social = $268.20

6. Open Discussion

  • Don noted that Kraken has agreed to take the lead for Blockers for this years Motorcycle Ride for Dad - Thanks Kraken
  • Don responded to Odie's questions regarding the Master Cpl Fitzgerald's petition to the Federal government. Which stems from his PTSD and dealings with law enforcement in his community resulting in him accumulating a large debt to proclaim his innocence.

7. Closing Remarks

a) Unit 50/50 - Sherain drew the winning ticket for tonight's draw. Congratulations Trev.

b) Adjournment
Don adjourned the meeting at 7:38 pm.
