7:05 pm Flatfoot, Sgt-at-Arms called the meeting to order with a request for one minute of Silence for fallen soldiers and riders:
The silence was broken with the reciting of:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning

1. President’s Opening Remarks
Trev, President welcomed everyone.
2. Vice-President's Report
Mapper, Vice-President noted that there weren't too many at the last Wed night rendez-vous.
3. Sergeant-at-Arms Report
Sergeant-at-Arms reported that membership remains the same and that we have $568.85 in the unit fund. He also noted that membership remains unchanged

a) Upcoming Events
Trevor reviewed upcoming activities:
Sept 7th CAV Veterans Memorial Highway Ride - members are meeting at Angelo's for breakfast at 9 am Ride departs at 10 am
Sept 8th Guide Dog Run - we will meet at the Manotick Hortons at 9:00am Cost $20.00
Sept 13th Port Dover - Trev, Kathy, Mel and Witch are planning on attending this event. Anyone else who wishes to are welcome to join us.
Sept 14th Cruise Don't Bruise - this is in support of the Eastern Ontario Community Resource Centre - start point is Beacon Hill Shopping Centre Cost $20 per rider and $15 per passenger.
Sept 15th Ride of Splender - in support of the Carleton Place Hospital - start point is the Carleton Place Curling Club - RV at the Stittsville Tim Hortons on Carp Road at 8 am
Sept 22nd Canadian Army Run - A number of CAV members are participating including Trev and J.C.
- Wed Nights:-* All unit members who can make it are encouraged to meet at the Hawthorne Tim Hortons for a Wednesday night meet and greet as well as a ride
b) Past Events
August 25th Millitary Police Relay Ride BBQ - there was a BBQ at the Orleans Legion in support of the Millitary Policy Relay in support of the MP Blind Childrens Fund - Day Troyia
