Members: Denny, Lloyd, Ghis, LA; Highlander; Scotty; Mapper; Bgruff; Spider; Gepetto; Jackie; Watchdog; Sharain; Hammer; Newf; Wayne; Chevy, Lavi, Douc (Mel) and Witch(Brenda).

Tom called the meeting to order at 7:10pm

1. OPENING REMARKS
Tom welcomed everyone and asked members to introduce themselves.

He reminded everyone that elections will be coming up consider the position of President. The president is elected and the president will select the rest of the executive. The president can be nominated or volunteer but they must be a veteran, not a supporter. They must have been in the unit for at least a year, and own a bike.

If you are interested in the Presidency or any other executive position please let Radar know. Radar is responsible for the election process.

You do not need to be nominated for executive positions, you can volunteer.

**2. SGT-AT-ARMS REPORT **
Radar reported
a) Unit finances are currently $426.95 which will decrease once the two new memberships are paid to $303.95.
b) ICROSS – Radar reported that he has a copy of CBC’s Tom Clake’s documentary on ICROSS. It is just less than hour long show on ICROSS and is very informative. Please contact Radar to borrow the CD.

3.ROAD CAPTAIN REPORT
Trevor reported that as he and Kathy were away for the past month that he was not able to provide and update on past unit rides.

Upcoming ride opportunities:
5 Sept – Eastern Ontario HOG Chapter is holding a poker run in support of Breast Cancer Research.
12 Sept – Veteran Memorial Highway Ride and Service – Cambrai is coordinating this event this year. Detailed timing are to follow. The VMH Ride will depart Angello’s Restaurant at 10:10 am; Church Parade at Veterans Memorial Park at 10:45; BBQ at Rideau Perley Veterans Hospital at 12:30.
20 Sept – Army Run – Smokey is the OPI and will forward information as it comes available.

Trevor reminded members to check their emails for information on rides as weather permits.

Chevy invited members to go on a ride to Champlain Lookout in Gatineau Park this Friday at 3 pm. He will send out details to all members.

4. PRESENTATIONS
Tom made the following presentations:
Watchdog – 1st year bar
LA – 3rd year bar
Ghis – 3rd year bar
Wayne – 4th year bar
Gepetto – 4th year bar

5. OTHER
Lloyd won the monthly draw.

Gepetto encouraged members to consider the Presidency of the unit. He congratulated the current Executive and as the founding unit President he is proud of how the unit has evolved. He noted that there are always challenges but we need to embrace the good stuff and support each other. “New Blood” so to speak will be good for the unit.

6. ADJOURNMENT
Tom adjourned the meeting at 7:40 pm and reminded all that the next meeting will be 6th of October.
